EPISD Coverage Guidelines

The EPISD program is designed to provide convenient care for acute and minor health concerns. To help ensure your visit is covered under the program, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

EPISD-covered visits are limited to one primary health concern per visit. Additional concerns may require a separate visit and may not be covered under the EPISD program.

Routine follow-ups and ongoing management of chronic conditions are not covered under the EPISD program. This includes conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, and other long-term health conditions.

If your provider determines that your condition requires evaluation or treatment by a specialist, the specialist referral and related follow-up care are not covered through the EPISD program and should be continued through your health insurance.

A visit may begin as an EPISD-covered visit; however, based on your provider’s evaluation, additional testing, treatment, follow-up visits, or ongoing care may fall outside of the EPISD program.

Please Note

If your care falls outside of the EPISD program, our team will let you know. You may still have the option to continue your care with Premier using your health insurance or available cash-pay services.
